Doctor Anthony Galea has been formally
charged today with bringing unapproved drugs into the U.S. and unlawfully treating professional athletes. In addition to treating Eldrick Woods, Dara Torres, and MLB players. Now comes word that he has billed three un-named current NFL Players roughly $200,000. Those players are also referred to in the affidavit as being "witnesses", meaning they are going to sing like Gary Sheffield and Jason Giambi in December of 2003.
Not that I'm wishing for the integrity of the investigation to be compromised, but it will be interesting to watch if a member of Galea's defense lawyers pulls a BALCO and starts giving sealed information to a reporter(s) looking to write a tell all book, or something of that nature. Game Of Shadows certainly proved there's a market for that type of book.
Galea shouldn't have to worry too much. After all he's got Chris Simms defending him!!
